Aaron R. Stewart is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Technology Management and Mechatronics, part of the Smith College of Engineering and Technology at Utah Valley University. He joined UVU in July 2024, following an earlier appointment as Assistant Professor at the University of Phoenix in Salt Lake City. He holds a Ph.D. in Organization and Management from Capella University, an M.A. in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University, and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His dissertation examined entrepreneurial perception among graduates of a global management MBA program.

Before entering academia full time, Stewart built a long career in industry, founding and leading companies in online marketing, search engine optimization, and custom software systems. He served as President of SoloSEO, a cloud-based SEO platform that grew to more than 200,000 paying clients, and as President of AcuTrans, LLC, which built custom online systems for Tier One railroads including Union Pacific, BNSF, and CSX. He also led BlueZone Labs, Blue Market, Utah Global Investments, and JOZUpost, and worked as International Marketing Director for the American Gilsonite Company, managing accounts across fifty-nine countries.

Stewart's research interests include artificial intelligence, process automation, organizational redesign and change management, corporate training efficiency, leadership, online marketing, and entrepreneurship. He teaches courses across leadership, management, and technology, including Foundations of Leadership, Organizational Behavior for Managers, Understanding Technology, and Strategic Implementation of AI Systems.

At Utah Valley University, Stewart serves on several departmental and university committees, including the Graduate Program Committee and the New Hire Committee, and was elected Senator to the UVU Faculty Senate for a term running through April 2028. He is a co-author of three books, including the Amazon best-seller Million Dollar Story, and has presented on topics ranging from AI integration in higher education to the history of supersonic flight.
